Dedicated to the memory of Laura Fox

This is a page for tributes to our beautiful, kind and brave wife, mum and grandma, Laura.

Her funeral will be on Thursday 1st April, and due to Covid restrictions we are not able to invite as many people as we know knew her and loved her but we would love you to leave us messages and memories on this webpage.

Her lasting message to us was to go lead happy and joyful lives, and so please join us on 1st April (or anytime!) in raising a glass (or mug) to her with one of her favourite drinks, preferably whilst thinking of happy memories; so pour yourself a Sauvignon Blanc (ideally a Ned), cinzano and lemonade, a mug of Ovaltine or a Cappuccino.

She loved flowers but her practical nature would really prefer donations to be sent to 2 of her favourite charities instead, you'll find links on this page.

With love and thanks

Colin, Stephen, Annette, Robert & all her amazing grandchildren xxxx

Thoughts

What a wonderful, kind, funny and loving friend. We will miss her terribly. When Annabel and Johno were little she cared for them and contributed to making them the lovely you g adults they are today. Annabel remembers the little ‘brown bread sadwiches’ they had and cobbles on the driveway that she balanced on as she went to find Laura. Johno remembers the playroom and all the fun they had in the garden and park. They always looked forward to ‘Laura days’. As the children grew up we always kept each other up to date with family news, to which Laura always showed great interest, love and care. As a friend, she was a gentle encourager who will always be remembered with a smile. Please be assured of our love and prayers. Alison, Greg, Stephanie, Caitlin, Annabel and Johno xxxxxx

Lovely Laura, our neighbour through the 70s and 80s and again more recently, we can't believe you have gone. Always kind and considerate, willing to lend a helping hand or sympathetic ear. The epitome of being a good neighbour. Our Royal street parties were a great success due to you and Mrs Barnett chivvying us all along. We'll remember you in sunshine and the cherry blossom that you loved. Our thoughts are very much with Colin, Stephen, Annette and Robert at this very sad time. Love from Pat, Bengie, Judith and David. X

On behalf of the Pulford School staff I would like to offer our sincere condolences on the loss of Laura. We have so many wonderful memories of her in our long association with the family, not only from her grandchildren, who attended the school but also the children whom she cared for before and after school. Laura was a lovely lady with an appealing smile and a fount of good common sense and soothing words for the children in her care. She will be sadly missed. Our hearts go out to you all, especially in these COVID times, which mean we can’t be together with those we love. Whilst we may not be able to be physically with you, be assured that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. With much love from the Pulford Family. Tessa Rees
